Biography

Peter started running in Kamloops, B.C. in 1998 at the age of 9 with the Kamloops Track and Field Club. In 2001 Peter moved to Calgary, AB and joined the Calgary Spartans Track Club. He had much success winning many provincial titles, national titles, and setting provincial records. He still holds the Alberta provincial record for the 800m in the midget age category with a time of 2:01.73, and has lowered his own senior 1500m provincial record three times to 3:40.15. After Peter graduated from Bowness High School in 2007 he went to Dalhousie University for a year. He was the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) cross-country rookie of year, as well as attaining 2nd team All-Canadian status by placing 11th at the CIS Cross-Country Championships. Peter finished 6th at the Canadian Junior Cross-Country National Championships that year. These results qualified him for FISU Cross-Country Championships, NACAC Cross-Country Championships, and the IAAF World Junior Cross-Country Championships. Peter won the 1500m at the Canadian Junior National Track and Field Championships in 2008. In October of 2008 Peter moved out the Victoria, B.C. to train at the National Endurance Centre. Peter, now a member of the Running Room Athletic Club, took a big step in his career in 2010 moving to Scottsdale, Arizona training full-time with the training centre.
